Neighborhood Watch
Posted By rhart on April 27, 2023
The Association has a Neighborhood Watch in place, which is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in their community. It involves neighbors getting to know each other and working together in a program of mutual assistance. Residents become trained to recognize and report suspicious activities, and can then implement crime prevention techniques such as residential and vehicle security, and personal safety into their neighborhoods.
There can’t be a deputy on every street, so citizen involvement is essential to combat crime. You and your fellow neighbors are the ones who really know what is going on in the neighborhood. By cooperating with each other and law enforcement, you can help fight crime in the most effective way – before it begins!
Please note that Neighborhood Watch does not require frequent or elaborate meeting or ask that anyone take any personal risks to prevent crime. Law enforcement personnel will attend the meetings to answer questions about crime in the community and provide valuable information on how the Sheriff’s Department works.
The Neighborhood Watch is looking to recruit block captains, members and a coordinator that will be responsible for relaying information to the rest of the group. If you are interested, please contact the Community Manager. Thank you for your participation in keeping the Moulton Ranch III community safe!
