2024 Annual Tree Trimming

The Board has approved Vargas Tree Service to complete the 2024 annual tree trimming. The trimming will include all of the park trees, all of the eucalyptus trees on the Association-maintained slopes, and all of the Carrotwood trees. The project will begin in March and should be finished by the end of June. 

If you would like to request that a tree be trimmed outside of its regular schedule or that a tree be removed, please complete the Tree Trimming and Removal Request Form, which can be downloaded on the Resident Portal at resident.actionlife.com in the “Forms” section.

Lastly, it was mentioned in a previous newsletter that a fungus called Armillaria has been detected on the Association maintained slopes which is deadly to pepper trees and other types of tree species. This fungus is actually quite common and, unfortunately, cannot be eradicated. It spreads through wet soil and the substantial amount of rain we have been getting will allow for it to spread more. Please keep an eye out for any trees in your area that appear to be in decline and report them to Management by emailing Community Care so that they can be evaluated by the arborist and determined if they are a good candidate for removal.
